BRIDGE DESIGN CHALLENGE
Situation: A Hurricane just washed out the road in New Harbour. You are architects tasked to create a bridge until the road can be replaced next summer.
Mission: In teams of 2/3, you are to create a model bridge using regular Popsicle sticks and white glue ONLY.
Tasks: 1. You need to learn about various bridge designs and choose the best one to complete the job.
2. Create your bridge.
Notes: You will only use the materials that I give you: 150 Popsicle sticks and glue. You may use your pencil, ruler and scissors (if you wish). You do not have to use all your Popsicle sticks. The bridge needs to be 40 cm long and 12 cm wide. The references below will help you get started.
